Vivek Malek believes in "The American Dream" because he has lived it himself.
In 2001, Vivek Malek came to Cape Girardeau with $300 in his pocket and a graduate assistant position at Southeast Missouri State University to help pay his tuition. Through hard work and education, he received two Master’s Degrees and built a successful small business.
In 2020, he was appointed to the Southeast Missouri State University Board of Governors, and in December of 2022, Governor Mike Parson announced that Vivek Malek would be the next Treasurer for the State of Missouri.
Vivek Malek is a proud member of the NRA and believes strongly that Missourians' Second Amendment rights shall not be infringed upon. He is also firmly pro-life and will always protect the unborn. As a State Treasurer, he will protect taxpayer money from liberal waste, fraud, and abuse.
Vivek and his wife, Riju, live in Wildwood and have three children.
